triple j loves the Big Day Out as much as you - It started way back in 1993 and was just a one day event to celebrate independent music. Now it's become the largest travelling festival in the world. As a long-term supporter of live music triple j has been there pretty much every step of the way.

Vijay, Rosie and The Doctor will be taking you backstage at Sydney's Olympic Park stadium this Friday 22nd January as they present their programs from the midst of the musical chaos that is the Big Day Out.
There'll be massive sets broadcast live direct from the main stages from Karnivool (1.25pm, Kasabian (3.pm) Hilltop Hoods (4.40pm) and Powderfinger (8.pm).
And we'll be getting intimate interviewing all your favourite local and international acts from the vantage point of our on-site studio. Want the latest news from Simian Mobile Disco?
