Perfect for late afternoon listening, The Opera Show is devoted to art of singing – mainly in opera, but you can also hear classical and contemporary song, operetta and concert works.
The Opera Show also explores the careers and repertoire of notable international and Australian singers, and plays some of the music currently being performed on the opera stage.

We preview a number of Australian productions opening this week including Cav and Pag from WA opera and Girl of the Golden West as part of Opera Australia’s winter season and Placido Domingo is featured on the eve of our broadcast on Sunday night of his appearance as the baritone lead in Verdi’s Simon Boccanegra recorded in the opening weekend of the BBC PROMS 2010.
